NSW: NSW had become economically complacent: Iemma

New South Wales Premier MORRIS IEMMA says his state will continue to look to for overseas
investors to kick start its economy .. admitting the state became complacent .. after
the Sydney Olympics.

He says the state's been left behind by resource rich Western Australia and Queensland.

Mr IEMMA says a recent trip to Italy resulted in a trade agreement with his counterpart
in the Italian province of Lazio.

He's told the Nine Network he's also actively chasing a contract in the French port
of Brest .. to have amphibious warships at Sydney's Garden Island dockyard.

Mr IEMMA says there are signs the NSW economy's turned around .. with two per cent
growth since the September quarter.
