On Command Corporation (Nasdaq: ONCO), the leading provider of in-room interactive entertainment, Internet services, business information and guest services for the lodging industry, today announced the appointment of Bertram "Buddy" Perkel to senior vice president and general counsel.

Perkel brings more than 40 years of experience to On Command. He spent the last eleven years with the New York office of the law firm of Baker & Botts, LLP, where he was "of counsel," specializing in the areas of securities and antitrust litigation. While at Baker & Botts, Perkel worked with a number of clients, including Telecommunications, Inc. (TCI) and Liberty Media Corporation. Before that, Perkel was with two other New York law firms, Shea & Gould and Hartman & Craven. Perkel also has served as special counsel to two New York City police commissioners and was on the Advisory Committee on Law Enforcement under former New York Governor Hugh Carey.
